We are not punished for our sins, but by them.
Underground walls in NY. There are loads of art in New York’s subway it is only a matter of which direction you are taking then entering a train in the subway. I have tried to collect some of them on my pages, street art is often overlooked as an art form. But the artist may well be extremely skilled, let me mention street art artists such as Beau Stanton as an example of an artist who is very high profile throughout the world, not just for street art, but also as an all-round artist.
An interdisciplinary artist, Stanton’s works takes the form of paintings such as, for example, murals, large plants, colored glass, and multimedia animations. With a focus on meticulous technique and craftsmanship, Stanton is highly informed by historical ornamentation, religious iconography, and classic painting. A great interest in iconic visual symbols and Jungian archetypes is often the basis of his images.
Stanton is originally from California, where he studied Illustration at the Laguna College of Art and Design. He moved to New York after graduating in 2008, continuing to live and work in Red Hook, Brooklyn constantly inspiring local nautical stories. His work has recently been shown in a 12th century crypt, about the Berlin Wall, a Fiat 500, and in galleries worldwide.
